May 17, 2017 - Miami, FL - Grela Orihuela has been appointed the new Director of Aqua Art Miami.

Ms. Orihuela has been a key member of the Art Miami Group since 2012, and also serves as Director of Art Wynwood. "It's a wonderful opportunity to develop this gem of a fair," said Orihuela about Aqua Art Miami. "It's inspiring to contribute to the city's unique art community during art fair week, and with the new location for Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami at One Herald Plaza, we're strategically positioned right across beautiful Biscayne Bay."

As well as hosting its 13th edition since being established in 2005, this is Aqua's fifth year since becoming part of the Art Miami group of fairs. Aqua consistently has earned critical recognition as the premier destination for vibrant and noteworthy international art programs, with a focus on supporting both new and established galleries with emerging and mid-career artists.

Aqua Art Miami continues to solidify itself as a distinctive fair experience, consistently staying true to its signature relaxed yet energetic vibe. Aqua takes place in an exclusive environment: a South Beach hotel with spacious exhibition rooms that open onto an intimate courtyard, which has remained an attractive gathering spot for collectors, curators and art lovers to discover fresh talent and acquire exceptional works, all while exchanging cultural ideas and forming meaningful connections.

The 2017 edition of Aqua Art Miami will feature 47 international exhibitors showcasing innovative artworks, kicking off with a VIP Preview on Wednesday, December 6, 3pm -10pm, and will be open to the public from December 7-10.
