| In 2008 the Aqua Art Miami art fair will again take place in two locations simultaneously, one at the Aqua Hotel in South Beach, near Art Basel Miami Beach where we first launched the fair, and Aqua Wynwood in the heart of Miami's gallery district, just a few blocks from the Rubell Collection, and close to other important venues such as the Margulies Collection and the MOCA Goldman warehouse, and a number of other satellite fairs including NADA, Pulse, Scope Miami, Art Miami, Photo Miami, and The Photography Show. Aqua Art Miami is based on the west coast USA, and fair organizers have made it their mission to promote innovative programming in their region as well as the greater USA and abroad, with a particular interest in supporting young dealers and galleries with strong emerging artist programs. Approximately one third of the galleries are from Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, with the remainder being from a wide range of other cities. |
