  • Robin Cass

    Robin Cass

    Biography : Robin Cass is an artist and educator living in Rochester, New York. She is a professor in the Glass Program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she has been a faculty member since 1998. She is currently serving as Interim Dean of the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences. Cass also served on the board of directors of the Glass Art Society from 2004 through 2010. Cass earned her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA from Alfred University. She has been invited to teach glassblowing and exhibit her sculptural work internationally, and has received fellowships and grants from Wheaton Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Glass & Ceramic Center of Seto, Japan. In addition to teaching at RIT, Cass has lead workshops at Pilchuck Glass School, Haystack, The Studio at Corning Museum of Glass and elsewhere. Robin’s work is included in a number of public and private collections including those of the Museum of American Glass in New Jersey, Tacoma Museum of Glass in Washington State, and Tittot Museum in Taipei, Taiwan. She has also been featured in several books including: “Masters of Blown Glass”, edited by Susan Rossi-Wilcox, “Breaking Ground: Art/Craft in Upstate New York”, by Barbara Lovenheim, and “25 Years of New Glass Review” edited by Tina Oldknow.     Ronald Gonzalez

    Biography : RONALD GONZALEZ (American, b. 1952) anthropomorphizes time worn objects by assembling them on figurative steel armatures. The work is further eroded with metal filings, burned wax, glue, wire and black soot creating a dramatic tonal range that both obscures and reveals the humanoid forms. These figures are at once distressing and curious. His work has been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions including the Corcoron Gallery of Art, Washington DC; Everson Museum, Syracuse NY; Institute Cultural Peruano Notre Americano, Lima, Peru; Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI; and Muse De Arte Modern, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ronald Gonzalez lives and maintains his studio in Johnson City, New York.

    Samuel C. Guy

    Biography : SAMUEL C. GUY (American, b. 1991) is known for his large figurative paintings and confident painting style. He primarily focuses on the male body. His work delves into poignant personal anecdotes while demonstrating absurdity and humor. Samuel C. Guy earned his BFA from Alfred University in 2014. In recent months his paintings have been acquired by collectors in Chicago, IL; Portland, OR; Nashville, TN; and Baltimore, MD. In 2015 he was a Constance Saltonstall Foundation Juried Fellow and earned a Goetteman Residency at Rocky Neck Art Colony in Gloucester, MA. Samuel C. Guy is from Binghamton, New York and currently lives and works in Boston, Massachusetts.

    Biography : ROBIN WHITEMAN (American, b. 1972) has worked with clay since the age of eleven. She received her degree in ceramics at Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of American Crafts, and has been a resident at Maine’s Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts, and at RIT. She has taught extensively throughout the greater Rochester, New York area. Her work is shown nationally and collected internationally. Robin Whiteman lives in the Finger Lakes region of New York with husband, child, and goats.
